Danish Mobile Nest of Teak Tables

Sorry, this item has sold.

A Danish designed, mid-Century, rectangular teak coffee table on castors with beech legs, incorporating a nest of four matching small teak topped, folding, circular tables, also with beech frames. This piece was made in the early 1960's from designs by Poul Hundevad of Denmark and manufactured by Novy Domov of Czechoslovakia.

The circular tables are ingeniously stored, folded, in slots on the underside of the rectangular table. They are in good vintage condition and function as originally intended. They have been cleaned and re-oiled, retaining their original character.

Ideal for apartment living or a small interior space and/or could be used as plant/bedside table. An unusual and multi-functional piece that will fit in, yet stand out, in any interior space.

As one might expect of an item of this age, there are signs of use, but no major flaws or damage, there is a very feint ring mark on the top of the main table and a few chips to the veneer. The brass/metal hinges on the round tables work perfectly and have been oiled, the casters also run freely.

Dimensions:

Rectangular table

56.5cm high x 62cm wide x 42cm deep

The 4 fold up tables

48cm high x 38cm in diameter

Our furniture

Our furniture pieces are pre-owned and, where possible, kept in original condition; where necessary, we repair and/or restyle to suit the modern home. As with anything old they may come with small imperfections, but we hope you will enjoy their character and individuality as much as we do.

A light dust with a damp lint-free cloth is the best way to care for our furniture. As with any wooden furniture - we recommend you use a coaster - hot drinks and wet rings leave marks. All our furniture has been finished and protected with oils and/or wax or a clear varnish. It's pretty hardy but it's not bomb proof, so please respect it as you would any other piece to keep it at its best.

Our Delivery Policy

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.

We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.

When ordering, please supply us with your mobile phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as access, parking restrictions etc.).

Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged a flat fee of £50 for re-delivery.
