The public’s love affair with these vintage coffee tables shows no sign of ending!
This compact, elegant and quite beautiful retro design is a must have in any modern mid century interior; no maker’s mark/stamp or badge but certainly Danish in style and almost definitely made by Myer, a sturdy solid teak frame ( not veneer) with a striking smoked glass top, in typically great vintage condition.
There are a few scuffs and dints to the solid wooden frame and an old repair to the top rail, whilst this doesn’t look perfect the repair is good and does not affect the use of the coffee table. There are some light surface scratches to the smoked glass top, but no cracks or chips.
Please note the glass sits in a wooden recess with no fixings, yet the glass does not move around as long as the table is in an upright position.
We have cleaned, lightly sanded and finished the table frame with a high quality teak oil; this helps nourish, protect and preserve the wood, but retains the vintage character.
