Mid Century STAG C Range Blonde Oak 3 Drawer Chest by John & Sylvia Reid

This useful, stylistic piece of Mid-century furniture is made by the renowned furniture maker Stag ; designed in 1953 by the duo John & Sylvia Reid, this is part of their iconic Cumberland (or C) range - this was their first line. The C Range proved a great success at the time and has become an iconic piece of post-war British furniture design.

With a truly iconic mid-century design, it has classic clean lines mirroring perfectly the period of the piece. A teak frame with light/blonde oak veneers, it has 3 drawers to the front and dovetail joints. With recessed, modernist, simple handles, the drawers are clean with no stains or odours, all of which open smoothly and shut flush. The piece sits solidly on turned blonde oak cigar shaped legs. The Stag maker’s mark is on the inside of the bottom drawer, further confirming authenticity

This piece is in excellent vintage condition, having been cleaned, de-greased, lightly sanded and had numerous coats of Danish Oil applied - this helps to protect and enhance the wood. There are some marks commensurate with age - please take a close look at the photographs as they form an important part of the description.

Remember that a set of drawers such as this is also useful in a hallway, small and compact enough to be a bedside or suitably stylish to use in a living space.

Where possible, we would prefer to hand deliver, either by ourselves or via our dedicated courier. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. Grouping these deliveries together, which both saves you cost and also benefits the environment, you should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window.
 
We offer free delivery on some items within 15 miles of Cambridge and also throughout mainland UK on some items advertised. Where free delivery applies, it is most likely to be hand or courier delivered, so expect it to be between 1 and 3 weeks.
 
Our minimum packaging and delivery cost is £30; larger, heavier, or multiple items, or for outreaching areas of the UK, are likely to be significantly more expensive. For multiple purchases, we will happily discount.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
