Vintage Schreiber Nest of Three Tables

A 70s nest of three table by British manufacturers Schreiber, an extremely heavy set with hardwood frames and a beautiful striking grained formica/ laminate top.

The tables have proof of their authenticity by still having the label underneath all three tables (although quite faded now), they slide into each other on runners so can all be moved together around the home. These sets of tables have proved themselves to be extremely useful as well as stylish in the Mid Century Modern home, functioning as drinks and side tables, plant display tables - a perfect height as a bedside or lamp table. This set is practical as well as stylish with its wipe clean surface being extremely child friendly.

This nest of three has been thoroughly cleaned, the wood has been lightly sanded and several coats of oil applied to the hardwood frame, this helps nourish and protect. The tops have been cleaned and polished however the tops of the tables do show signs of previous use, you should be able to see quite clearly the condition from our photos.

A bit about the manufacturers :-

Schreiber furniture was founded in 1957 with its headquarters in Milton Keynes, it was extremely successful brand in furniture manufacturing from the 1960s to the early 70s challenging its other competitors at the time (Lebus and G Plan). Schreiber, in its bid for domination, opened Schreiber Furniture Centres. Always Mr Schreiber to his employees, he treated everyone equally and had a strong sense of what was fair, he disliked bad manners and admired honesty; Schreiber was able to make good furniture cheaper than any other company.
Schreiber furniture can still be bought in retail shops today but more importantly, we can still purchase these original, modern day, collectible antiques!

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
 
When ordering, please supply us with your mobile 'phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as anything other than ground floor access, parking and access restrictions etc.). We reserve the right to charge for deliveries outside of our standard terms.
 
Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged a flat fee of £50 for re-delivery.
