On first inspection we thought that this was manufactured by G Plan but with no badges and after further research and cleaning, we are convinced it's definitely Meredew. Irrespective, this is a quality, desirable, well made, compact and versatile gate-leg table showcasing both quality teak and Danish design.

There is no doubt that dining tables are the centre of attraction in a dining/living space, but also the biggest in dimension too. Therefore, a wrong choice of dining table can make or mar the beauty of the room.

If your house or apartment simply does not have the necessary space for a large table at all times, then this vintage gate-leg dining table gives you the perfect combination of space-saving design, beauty and durability.

This table is made from solid teak and quality teak veneers which not only gives a substantial feel but also a beautiful grain pattern throughout. The table has long tapering legs and drop leafs on both sides that are supported by crossing arms from both directions to add to its stability; these also enable the table to be stored away easily when not in use. There are no wobbles, breaks or repairs and the hinges to the leaves work perfectly. Deceptively, the table seats 6 easily and 8 at a squeeze! The gate leg is designed to leave enough room for all four chairs to fit underneath the table when not in use.

A bit about Meredew -
Having been in business since the 19th Century, Meredew embraced modernism in the 1950s and produced furniture that epitomised that era. Originally from London then moved out to Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire, a smaller company than G Plan and of a similar size to McIntosh, research tells me that they perhaps made furniture unbranded for larger retailers. They employed a German designer and had a well known Italian designer working on some of their furniture designs.

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
 
Where possible, we would prefer to hand deliver, either by ourselves or via our dedicated courier. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. Grouping these deliveries together, which both saves you cost and also benefits the environment, you should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window.
 
We offer free delivery on some items within 15 miles of Cambridge and also throughout mainland UK on some items advertised. Where free delivery applies, it is most likely to be hand or courier delivered, so expect it to be between 1 and 3 weeks.
 
Our minimum packaging and delivery cost is £30; larger, heavier, or multiple items, or for outreaching areas of the UK, are likely to be significantly more expensive. For multiple purchases, we will happily discount.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
