This is Retro seating paradise!
Originally part of a dining set, these floating eye catching chairs will elevate any living space into a design classic. Enjoy a retro adventure with G Plan - the British version of a Danish chair.
These wonderfully stylish chairs are symbolic of the mid century look, creating a real talking point in your dining room - a classic G Plan style, as featured in their 1960s catalogue - and they’re very comfortable, too!
As you know we love a good chair and these fit the brief; designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921–2003), a Danish architect and furniture designer. His designs were not only produced by G Plan, but Selig and Faarup too. This particular style is now highly collectible and becoming harder to find as a set.
We have four of these G Plan E Gomme Tola Butterfly Chairs. They are a fantastic stand out mid-century collectable design.
These striking dining chairs in black lacquer and Africa Tola have been refreshed, the walnut chair backs hand sanded and finished in oil. The frames are sturdy, and the seat pads have been reupholstered in a new quality black vinyl which is very much of the time. We have deliberately shown the chairs in their original and re-upholstered state, so you can see exactly what you are buying. The price is for the entire re-upholstered set.
Please bear in mind that all our vintage and retro items have had a life before you purchase them (sometimes quite a long one!) therefore they will show signs of wear and use. We never sell items that we wouldn’t be happy to have in our own homes and provide images detailing any significant damage or unusual wear. Please read the details and examine the images prior to purchase. If you’re unsure, or would like some more information, please contact us, we’re always happy to help.

Our Delivery Policy
Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
Where possible, we would prefer to hand deliver, either by ourselves or via our dedicated courier. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. Grouping these deliveries together, which both saves you cost and also benefits the environment, you should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window.
We offer free delivery on some items within 15 miles of Cambridge and also throughout mainland UK on some items advertised. Where free delivery applies, it is most likely to be hand or courier delivered, so expect it to be between 1 and 3 weeks.
Our minimum packaging and delivery cost is £25; larger, heavier, items are likely to be significantly more expensive. For multiple purchases, we will happily discount.
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
When ordering, please supply us with your email address and mobile phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply.
Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged the full delivery fee for re-delivery.
