Teak Coffee Table with Copper Inlaid Top With Magazine Rack

A rare and an absolutely beautiful example of a 60s/70s Danish style, solid Teak, coffee table, incorporating a Teak magazine rack below, with an abstract pattern on one single piece of copper inlaid into the table top.

Unfortunately, no indication of a designer is present but the style is reminiscent of Johannes Anderson ( who designed for a number of eminent manufacturers during the mid century period ).

In original, unrestored, vintage condition, this piece has had a degrease, a light sand and several applications of a quality teak oil applied; the copper top has had a re-polish and is in remarkable condition. Apart from some general vintage wear and tear, this has no apparent defects or loose joints and is in a condition that belies its age.

This beautifully designed, unusual ( unique? ), table is definitely a striking statement piece - this would make an incredible shop window display piece and would sit beautifully in a stylish hotel lobby or office reception area.

Mid century designers utilised and incorporated a wealth of materials ( wood, tubular steel, moulded plywood, formica, mosaic tiling, brass detailing, acrylic, glass, plastic ) - if you haven’t yet found that perfect mid century coffee table to finish your living room, this may just be it ( and you are unlikely to see another! ).

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
