G Plan Quadrille Nest of Tables – R. Bennett Design – Mid-Century Teak 1960s

A beautifully crafted G Plan Quadrille nest of three tables, designed in the mid-1960s by R. Bennett for G Plan as part of their celebrated and highly collectable Quadrille range. Defined by its sculptural, flowing frames and low, balanced proportions, Quadrille became one of G Plan’s most iconic expressions of British modernism. The strong Danish influence—seen in the soft curves, open frames, and elegant, architectural symmetry—makes this set instantly recognisable and continually sought after by mid-century design collectors.

Each table is built with a solid afromosia hardwood frame (a premium timber chosen by G Plan during this era for its strength and deep teak tone), paired with teak-veneered tops in a warm, consistent colour. The smallest table retains its original G Plan red label, helping date this set to the early–mid 1960s, the desirable early production period before labels changed later in the decade. The three tables nest smoothly and securely beneath one another, offering generous extra surface space while maintaining a compact footprint—one of the reasons Quadrille pieces remain so practical in modern homes.

This set has been cleaned, lightly conditioned, and is ready for immediate use. They show only light age-related marks and subtle fading along the outer edges of the tops, plus two small blemishes on the largest table, all in keeping with over 50 years of careful ownership. The frames are strong with tight joints, and the sculptural silhouettes display beautifully from every angle.

Perfect for mid-century, minimalist, Japandi or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, these tables work equally well as occasional tables, side tables, or a sculptural trio beside a G Plan Fresco, Librenza or Quadrille sideboard. Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
 
In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
 
When ordering, please supply us with your mobile 'phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as anything other than ground floor access, parking and access restrictions etc.). We reserve the right to charge for deliveries outside of our standard terms.
