MCM Teak Bedside Cabinets with Drawer and Cupboard Storage – Left & Right Opening Doors

These mid-century teak bedside lockers most likely date from the late 1960s to early 1970s and align closely with designs produced by makers such as Nathan, Stonehill, Austinsuite, Vanson and the lighter teak bedroom suites retailed by British stores during this period. The simple lines, angled open shelf and square legs all point toward these well-known mid-century manufacturers, and although unlabelled, they clearly sit within that era of accessible, Danish-influenced British design.

Each cabinet offers practical, well-planned storage with a top drawer, an open shelf for books or night-time essentials, and a lower cupboard. The doors are set up perfectly for bedside use, with one opening to the left and the other to the right, making them a true left and right-hand pair. They have been fully cleaned and oiled, and the knobs have been replaced with tidy metal button knobs that complement the warm tones of the teak. Drawers glide smoothly, interiors are clean and ready to use, and the overall footprint is compact yet highly functional.

As expected for original pieces of this age, they show some cosmetic wear. One cabinet has an area of bubbling and lifting to the veneer on the side, and there is lifting to the veneer at the base of one unit. The tops show visible wear and patina from age and use, all clearly photographed and reflected in the pricing. Despite the cosmetic imperfections, the pair remain solid, stable and full of authentic mid-century character, offering a great-looking, practical and affordable set of teak bedsides for any modern home.

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon as practicable after the sale goes through.
