A stylish set of two of mid-century Cesca bar stools, originally designed by Marcel Breuer for Knoll International, the style embodies the iconic Bauhaus design perfected by Breuer in 1928 and revived in the 1970s /80s and in the present day!
The stools, feature the distinctive mix of cane webbing, beechwood and tubular chrome, demonstrating a revolutionary cantilever design that merges industrial and organic elements.
These stools, which we are selling a pair of (but with differences as mentioned and photographed), exhibit their vintage charm with subtle differences. One stool has black caps on the top backrests, while the other features chrome caps. The footrests are not at exactly the same height, and one is not firmly fixed, moving up and down. The chrome, though polished, shows signs of dulling and some surface scratches. The rattan seats and backrests, while secure, show differing levels of wear and some sagging on one more than the other, indicative of more frequent use and have been more than likely renewed/replaced over their lifetime.
This pair offers flexibility and comfort without four rigid legs and is perfect for adding a mid-century modern touch to any kitchen, office, home bar, or commercial space. As a pair but some differences!

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
Where possible, we would prefer to hand deliver, either by ourselves or via our dedicated courier. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. Grouping these deliveries together, which both saves you cost and also benefits the environment, you should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window.
We offer free delivery on all items within 15 miles of Cambridge and also throughout mainland UK on some items advertised. Where free delivery applies, it is most likely to be hand or courier delivered, so expect it to be between 1 and 3 weeks.
Our minimum packaging and delivery cost is £25; larger, heavier, items are likely to be significantly more expensive. For multiple purchases, we will happily discount.
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
