Vintage Retro 60s Kitchen Larder Unit

What you see is what you get with this cute, compact retro 60s kitchen larder unit.

The unit has a top double height shelf cabinet with a textured fitted glass shelf and two glass sliding doors finished of with a metal trim. All glass is intact with no chips or cracks and the doors slide as they should. The glass doors have an attractive 60s style pattern on them and are slightly frosted;the handles are firmly fixed in place.

Below the cabinet is a surface area to prep, this is in a brown teak grain effect formica. This surface in in remarkable condition considering its age - there is no lifting or chips and shows only light surface scratches.

There are two drawers to the left , these are also faced with the teak grained formica, they run as they should and are clean inside. There are also two cupboards, one below the drawers and one larger to the left. The two door fronts we think have possibly been repainted over time and so we have refreshed the colour with a good match! The hinges on the doors and and the handles are all in good order and are firmly fixed; the whole unit stands firmly on a beech frame.

This is a great size for the modern home offering a pop of 60s retro style and colouring as well as additional storage, obviously a great addition to a kitchen area or would work as a cocktail cabinet in a more open kitchen/dining/living space.

We could also see this working in a commercial space, coffee shop, restaurant or breakout area in a workspace!

We have done our normal extensive cleaning job on this unit but felt a few areas could do with a little refreshing. So, as well as a repaint to the orange doors (the paint match colour name was Bengal Tiger from Valspa ), we refreshed the sides of the unit in a similar colour. There are also two chrome hooks for tea towels on the left hand side.

To conclude we think this is a fabulous kitchen larder unit, great functional usage with style with storage and even after over 50 years of use, only general wear and tear as can be seen from our photos. Please don’t hesitate to message us if you have any further questions.

Wherever possible, we try to offer free kerbside delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. Free delivery does not apply to locations a long way away from our location in Cambridge or to areas of mainland UK not routinely covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon as practicable after the sale goes through.

We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
