The Ercol 305 tub chair was first manufactured in the 1950s - these, we are informed, probably date from that period, they have been kept in the same family and we would ideally like them to stay together!
These chairs remain in great demand now for our modern retro homes, this timeless Windsor design combines comfort with a first-class finish, a moulded elm seat and featuring a spindle back with angled arms and splayed tapering legs.
Made from beech, ash and elm, the tub chairs have been degreased, given a fresh coat of Danish oil and wax buffed to a shine. The chairs are solid and sturdy with no evidence of damage or repairs and only marks and scuffs commensurate with age and usage, certainly nothing to disappoint!
Please look carefully at the photos as they do form quite an important part of our description. The most obvious wear and to be expected is scuffs to the arms and back frame. The blue Ercol badges remains on one chair.
The chairs come with a seat cushion which fixes with metal poppers underneath but one of the ties is missing (3 out of four are in place so doesn’t affect the cushion which remains in place). The foam and fabric is in good plump condition, one of the cushions does have a couple of indentations from something being stored on it.
They have been steam cleaned and have no odours or unsightly stains, however they would look stunning if re-covered!
We have included two grey faux fur throws in our purchase price - the other scatter cushions can also be bought separately, just message us!

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
When ordering, please supply us with your mobile ‘phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as anything other than ground floor access, parking and access restrictions etc.). We reserve the right to charge for deliveries outside of our standard terms.
