MCM Teak Gate Leg Table G Plan McIntosh Style

This is a big table in a small package!

Does your house or apartment simply not have the necessary space for a large table at all times? If so, this vintage oval teak dining table gives you the perfect combination of space-saving design, beauty and durability. Seating 4 or 6 comfortably and 2 when half up against a wall, it’s also a great desk space or workstation.

There is no doubt that dining tables are the centre of attraction in a dining/living space, but also the biggest in dimension too. Therefore, a wrong choice of dining table can make or mar the beauty of the room.

The gateleg table was first introduced in England in the 16th century. The table top has a fixed section and two hinged leaves, which, when not in use, fold down below the fixed section to hang vertically.

Whilst we have been unable to find a label or maker’s mark, we are fairly sure its G Plan based upon the quality of the design and build but also has a similarity to a McIntosh design. Whatever, it’s certainly a Danish inspired design, stylish and yet useful in its compactness, the table is in great vintage condition with all moving parts functioning as they should. Made from hardwood with a striking grained teak veneer top showing only minimal surface damage, it has been thoroughly cleaned, degreased and re oiled to enhance and protect the fabulous teak wood and grained veneers.

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
