Danish Chest of 4 Drawers; part of the PS System

This chest of teak drawers was designed by Prebend Sorensen for Randers Mobelfabrik in Denmark, circa 1965. It is part of the PS System, similar to Ladderax, with different types of units mounted on rails in any arrangement you wish. So if it’s a set of drawers you need to complete your set, here they are!

Unfortunately we do not have the upright runners or supports and only have the one set of drawers, however as you can see from the photos it can work independently. The drawers could also be raised on hairpin legs to add a little more height if preferred (this is something we would be happy to do at an additional cost of approximate £45; just message us!).

This drawer unit consists of four superbly crafted drawers, each one having dovetail jointing and being of good size, offering excellent storage. On each drawer front there are two teak wooden handles, with the body of the unit covered in warm, rich, quality teak veneers. Being part of the PS Systems this unit has two metal brackets on the back as per our photos these;hang the unit on the runners.

The drawers have been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, predominantly the inside of the drawers are clean but there are some blue pen marks on the 2nd drawer. We have cleaned, degreased and refreshed with couple of coats of teak oil to reveal a beautiful grain, offering protection and giving nourishment to the wood and wood veneers.

Escaping landfill and as an alternative to new furniture, these are an exciting, affordable, stylish set of drawers that meet the high standards and expectations of the mid century modern collector.

The photos show a good likeness of the condition and depth of the teak colouring - no camera tricks - and showing only general wear and tear, as to be expected from age and usage.

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
 
In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.

Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as anything other than ground floor access, parking and access restrictions etc.).
