MCM Nathan “Shades of Teak” Trinity Nest of Tables

A beautiful set of four tables comprising of one glass topped round table with teak frame and three elliptical side tables which nest underneath. This is from the Nathan Classic Shades of Teak and Editions range, the natural variation in colour and grain (which is the beauty of real wood) gives every piece of Nathan furniture its own distinct character. Designed and crafted by professionals using only the finest veneers and hardwoods, carefully selected, capturing the essence of timeless quality and design.

B & I Nathan was a furniture maker that followed contemporary taste in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Like G-Plan, Nathan emphasised the value of its brand, trading on an image of quality and craftsmanship. Nathan furniture followed, rather than set, trends in the 50s and 60s. The company moved slightly more up market at the end of the 60s and produced some innovative designs that inspired a large group of loyal customers to furnish their homes in Nathan’s distinctive style: modern, but with a traditional feel.

The table came to us in good vintage condition and has been cleaned, degreased lightly sanded and re oiled. There are some surface marks on the three tables from previous use and scuffs on the main table frame. Joints all good and minimal surface scratches to the glass top with no chips. The circular glass surface has a safety glass kite mark etched on the side. (this I believe to be a mark to confirm toughened glass).

These style of tables are extremely practical and offer great versatility of usage, it seems that they are highly desirable and sought after, from the mid century enthusiast looking for that statement piece for their own home, to the collectors of modern antiques. In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, kerbside to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Exclusions to free delivery apply, including where tolls or congestion zone fees apply, for which there will be an additional charge. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
