A cherished, compact and completely original chest of three drawers, this fantastic mid century find is from STAG furniture, a well known iconic British furniture brand and a hallmark of minimal mid century design!
There are three storage drawers, the bottom drawer being deeper so suitable for jumpers or bedding. This is from the Catana range and was designed by Ron Carter who worked for Stag between 1965 and 1979 and was heavily influenced by Scandinavian furniture at the time. This range was produced over a number of years, we think this is perhaps one of the later models from the late 70s or early 80s.
This is a solid, fairly weighty chest and is made from a variety of materials, including solid teak and veneer, the grain colour and detailing being quite striking. The drawer bases are fibreboard, they are clean with no odours and drawers run smoothly. The original unusual gold coloured metal handles are still all intact.
The condition of this vintage piece is excellent, there is scratch to the top surface and one on the front of the drawers, these are shown in our photos. There a a few other feint surface scratches but these are hardly visible, the other damage is a small chip to the underside on the left side panel.
We have thoroughly cleaned, degreased and re oiled, this helps protect and enhance the wood and veneers.
At the time of this listing we also have a larger five drawer chest and a matching dressing table. These are listed separately but would be happy to give a combined discounted price for all, just message us before purchase!

Our Delivery Policy
Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
Where possible, we would prefer to hand deliver, either by ourselves or via our dedicated courier. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. Grouping these deliveries together, which both saves you cost and also benefits the environment, you should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window.
We offer free delivery on some items within 15 miles of Cambridge and also throughout mainland UK on some items advertised. Where free delivery applies, it is most likely to be hand or courier delivered, so expect it to be between 1 and 3 weeks.
Our minimum packaging and delivery cost is £25; larger, heavier, items are likely to be significantly more expensive. For multiple purchases, we will happily discount.
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
When ordering, please supply us with your email address and mobile phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply.
Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged the full delivery fee for re-delivery.
