Ladder Back Mid Century Dining Desk Chair with New Upholstery

The UK throws away around 1.6 million tonnes of furniture and bulky waste each year, most of which ends up in landfill. Reusing what has already been (well) made makes ever more sense !

So we didn’t throw this away, we thoroughly cleaned degreased,lightly sanded and re oiled the hardwood teak coloured frame. This does show scuffs and scratches but also has a great patina that only comes from age and use. The original seat pad was a black vinyl so we replaced with a new one. No makers mark but certainly Danish in style the chair is solid and sturdy with a new upholstered comfortable wide seat base and low arms, so suitable to slot under a desk as well as a spare chair for the dining table.

Please remember to look carefully at our photos, we try to give a good representation of the condition of our furniture in both our images and description. Vintage items have all had a previous life and in most cases the condition will show signs of age with wear and tear, including scuffs and scratches, commensurate with age.

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
 
In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.

Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged a flat fee of £50 for re-delivery.
