A Dainty Danish Vintage Nest of Tables designed by Poul Hundevad

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a delightful set of three nesting tables designed by Poul Hundevad for Fabian in Denmark in the 1960s, featuring solid golden teak round tapering legs and rounded edges to the table tops.

The two smaller tables nest neatly under the main largest table on attached runners , this lifts them up and so they do not drag on the floor when being removed or replaced.

We have thoroughly cleaned and degreased, lightly sanded and re oiled in a coloured teak oil to help blend marks and scratches - this helps nourish and further protect the woods.

This vintage item has no defects, but it does show traces of use. Please see our photos, the tops do have some fading marks and light surface scratches, generally wear consistent with age and use.

A bit about the designer :-
Danish furniture designer and producer Poul Buch Hundevad was born in Vamdrup in 1917. Hundevad trained as a carpenter before establishing his own cabinetmaking shop and furniture factory, Hundevad & Co., at the beginning of the 1950s in his hometown.
The company produced many of the founder’s own designs, alongside the designs of Danish designers Kay Ingemann Iversen, Carlo Jensen, Harald Plum, Mogens Plum, and Kaj Winding.
Like many of his midcentury Scandinavian contemporaries, Hundevad favoured high-quality materials, such teak, and created furniture that was aesthetically clean and simple, yet multifunctional in practice.

Our Delivery Policy

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.

We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.

When ordering, please supply us with your mobile phone number, so we may liaise directly with you regarding delivery. Please advise if there are any delivery restrictions that will apply (such as access, parking restrictions etc.).

Please note that if we are unable to deliver on a pre-arranged day, you will be charged a flat fee of £50 for re-delivery.
