A Vintage Ercol Baby Giraffe, Bookcase, Trolly, Room Divider

Lovingly known as a baby giraffe, this is a beautiful original 1960s example of the iconic 361 Trolley Bookcase, in the blond wood colouring with a beautiful aged patina. This was manufactured in High Wycombe between 1957-72 and is made from english elm and beech.

These Ercol vintage originals are quite a rare find, popular with collectors of Ercol and fitting seamlessly into our modern homes - I hope our photos give you some ideas of how they might be used in your home space!

We have only had to degrease and clean, so the original lacquer is still in place. The top shelf has obviously had more use and is slightly duller but a generous application of oil has been applied and now blends better with the other two shelves. The frame is sound and sturdy with no loose joints and really is in fabulous original vintage condition with only minor surface wear commensurate with age and use. The wheels run smoothly - see the photos for an accurate representation of the condition.

In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers, or for low value items - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
