MCM Danish Skovby Extending Dining Table

A Mid Century teak oval dining table probably manufactured in the 1960s by the Danish Company Skovby.

The table has an interesting elliptic shaped top and one extending leaf increasing the width/length of the table, this can be stored underneath the table when notrequired. The table has metal clasps underneath which allow the table to be locked as one surface, this extra middle section is a slightly different shade. The table can seat 4 - 6 when unextended and 6 - 8 with the extension in place, the table offers plenty of room on the surface top and also underneath with the ingenious leg frame configuration.

The table is of solid construction and in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use; there is no label or markings with the Skovby name but my research confirms the piece as described. The table top and frame have been cleaned, degreased and re oiled to further to protect and enhance the wood and wood veneers.

This dining table is a real eye catching statement piece and would suit any modern or period home, hotel or restaurant.

Safely delivering items you purchase in a timely fashion is both our priority and also one of the most challenging aspects of our business.
 
In most circumstances, we offer free hand delivery, contact-free, to most mainland UK addresses, either by ourselves or via our dedicated, trusted, couriers. This ensures that your purchases arrive in exactly the condition they were in when you purchased them, as accurately described on our site. You should expect delivery to be within 1 to 3 weeks of you placing the order. We will contact you directly with a firm delivery date and advise you in advance of a two hour delivery window. Free delivery does not apply to areas of mainland UK not covered by our trusted couriers - if this applies to your purchase, we will simply charge you what we are charged for delivery, less any Etsy fees, and notify you of this as soon a practicable after the sale goes through, giving you the option of a full refund.
 
We are able to package and export items beyond mainland UK and have done so as far afield as Hong Kong and New Zealand. We regularly export to Northern Ireland and Eire and the majority of Europe. Please contact us directly for a tailored quotation.
